I've been diving for almost 4 years now and covered allot of ground. Started diving here at home on Vancover island in the cold cold waters. Left for Thialand with my open water ticket and spent 4 months testing the waters all over Thailand managed to take my advanced on Koh Toa "The most populare place to get certified in the world!!" and continued on my adventure a few dives in decimated reefs of Cambodia proved far to scary for me. Then it was on to Australia after a quick run through the south and the desert center I found myself in Carins and back into the water. Didn't take long to realise the better diving was to the north or south.. So off I went... Well sort of stopped in Townsville to dive the famous Yongalla wreck, after two return trips because of weather I ended up more determined than ever. Signed up for my rescue course which did finaly get me there and hooked me in, from rescue to divemaster I had found a wonderful place to dive. My trip however did have to come to an end and I returend home to are friget waters. After investing a small fortone into a drysuit and gear I have only managed 30 or so dives here at home in the last few years lack of buddies seems to be the worst of it.. To satisfy the travel and tropical dive bug I booked an plain ticket into Japan last sept 2003 spent 1 month island hopping and experianced some of the best diving imaginable. From there it was a quick flight and a three week visit back to Townsville and the SS Yongalla the home again.... 1 year later and only 5 dives to show.... So any dive buddies here on the island look me up.
